Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Compensation Specialist to partner with Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners, administering compensation programs and ensuring internal equity. You will drive market pricing, support offer development, and deliver data-driven insights for HR leaders.

The role requires 2+ years of compensation analysis experience, strong Excel skills, and proficiency with HRIS tools such as Workday and MarketPay.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in compensation analysis.
Experience supporting Talent Acquisition with offer analysis and compensation recommendations.
Experience interpreting and applying compensation guidelines to inquiries.
Experience preparing data-driven insights for HR and business partners.
Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis.
Experience working with HRIS and compensation planning tools (Workday & MarketPay preferred).

Responsibilities

Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and leaders to support offer development, market pricing, and internal equity reviews.
Conduct foundational to moderately complex analyses and translate data into actionable recommendations.
Support annual compensation processes through data validation, auditing, and reporting.
Contribute to continuous improvement of compensation processes, tools, and documentation.
