Job summary

State of South Carolina's Department of Employment and Workforce seeks a Business Analyst to support workforce programs, report performance, and train staff on SC Works Online Services (SCWOS). You will analyze data, prepare reports, and collaborate with staff and vendors to meet program requirements.

Ideal candidates read, research, and communicate federal requirements, provide exceptional customer service, and leverage SQL and MS Office to drive informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Able to read, research, understand, and communicate federal reporting and management system requirements for multiple programs.
• Experience conducting data analysis and presenting results effectively.
• Excellent customer service and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience using SQL and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact for the state's case management and labor exchange system.
• Provide technical assistance to users with varying levels of technical, website, or workforce system expertise.
• Collaborate with team and vendor to ensure issues are resolved promptly.
• Manage system-related projects and provide quality support to staff, employers, jobseekers, and constituents.
• Utilize SQL to conduct programmatic analyses and support data-driven decisions.
• Create documentation to ensure maintenance and administration is standardized.
