Acceleration Academies in the United States seeks an Academic Support Coach to advance graduation readiness for Graduation Candidates through data-driven planning and targeted interventions.

This full-time, grant-funded role focuses on improving instructional practices, monitoring progress, and coordinating scheduling aligned with state standards. Strong commitment to disengaged learners is essential for student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
• Valid Secondary South Carolina Educator Credential (required).
• Minimum 5 years of teaching or educational leadership experience.
• Experience with academic coaching, intervention strategies, and student success planning.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, LMS, SIS, and mobile technology.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Academy Director with development and implementation of the SDE Continuous Improvement Plan.
• Analyze student performance data and track improvement strategies.
• Prepare and maintain documentation required for plan submissions.
• Coordinate assessments and process results for planning and intervention.
• Facilitate MTSS-aligned data meetings with instructional staff.
• Monitor academic performance and assessment completion among GCs.
• Develop individualized academic and graduation plans.
• Provide regular updates on student status and outcomes.
• Coordinate scheduling and End-of-Course (EOC) preparation.
• Support teacher, staff, and family engagement.
