Job summary

Jackson Hogg is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in the North East, United Kingdom. You will design electrical building services from concept to detailed design, supporting project teams across modular data centres and critical infrastructure.

BIM modelling and coordination are key elements of the role. The responsibilities include design of lighting, power, distribution, emergency power systems, and detailed calculations with Relux and ElectricalOM.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC in Electrical or Building Services (or equivalent).
• Experience with electrical building services design principles.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and model coordination.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical building services including lighting, power, distribution and alarms.
• Design emergency power systems with generators, UPS and storage.
• Prepare detailed design calculations using Relux and ElectricalOM.
• Liaise with design and project teams to meet client requirements.
• Develop and maintain electrical BIM models per standards.
• Coordinate electrical models with architects and engineers for clash detection.
• Maintain data integrity and version control of outputs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
