Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Designer with BIM expertise to design electrical systems for Data Centers and create BIM models using Revit.

You will work within a mission-critical environment, delivering construction documentation and coordinating with multiple teams to meet project milestones. The role requires 4+ years of engineering and commissioning experience, NEC knowledge, and strong proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering experience in mission critical facilities.
• 4+ years of commissioning experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience researching new designs and construction methods for data center equipment.
• 4+ years’ experience using Revit for BIM models and drawings.
• Practical knowledge of NEC and safety regulations.
• Ability to perform lighting calculations and understand power distribution.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for Data Centers and create/maintain BIM models in Revit.
• Work independently and with teams to meet deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal groups, external suppliers, consultants, and vendors.
• Produce and publish construction documentation for electrical building systems.
• Update models and docs with coordination across engineering teams.
• Create and maintain standard BIM templates for regions.
• Participate in design coordination meetings for clash detection.
• Handle multiple projects across locations and support information exchange during construction.
• Report key metrics to management and travel to Data Center sites as needed.
