Job summary

AWS is seeking a results-oriented professional to lead water-based cooling infrastructure projects for the US East region. You will collaborate with Real Estate, Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, and Operations, as well as external partners, to drive feasibility, design, and delivery of compliant, efficient, and safe water systems.

You will manage multiple concurrent projects, monitor performance metrics, and build system resiliency for handoff to regional operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Manage planning, design, and execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects that support water delivery to data centers.
• Negotiate terms and oversee utility system contracts and connection agreements for water supply and wastewater infrastructure.
• Engineer, design, construct and monitor water treatment/operations projects and scale design criteria for regional deployment.
• Manage projects that directly support water sustainability goals.
• Coordinate RCA and CA with internal teams for design and fleet deployed water systems.
• Coordinate with local water utilities to understand site utility requirements, inspections and building codes.
• Track reliability and maintenance of water systems and resiliency of water supply sources.
• Work with Operations to monitor water consumption and develop resiliency plans for water supply sources.
• Oversee testing/validation of water treatment equipment and related systems during installation and operation.
• Interface with engineering, operations, real estate, EHS and legal teams to implement solutions in rural areas with limited water infrastructure.
• Oversee maintenance, reliability and compliance of on-site water treatment and disinfection systems.
• Up to 20% travel as needed for project execution.
