Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a self-starter to join the AWS Water team and drive large-scale water infrastructure projects for AWS data centers across the central and southern US regions.

You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, contribute to project management, engineering, and reporting, and help maintain utility relationships while supporting contracting with utilities and Owners' Engineer. The role emphasizes reliability, cost savings, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• NETA or ASHRAE certification or commissioning specific education courses.
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of water supply and infrastructure strategies for AWS data centers in multiple regions of the Americas.
• Assist planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects at AWS data centers.
• Collaborate with Amazon Infrastructure teams to develop strategic water sourcing opportunities for large-scale projects.
• Coordinate with external engineering consultants, general contractors, and water/wastewater vendors through feasibility, design, and construction phases.
• Develop and negotiate terms for water and wastewater supply contracts and utility connection agreements.
• Coordinate with local water utilities to ensure site utility requirements and compliance with building codes.
• Manage water projects against plans, schedule, and budget to ensure reliability and cost savings.
• Be a proactive self-starter and capable of handling multiple projects in different regions.
• Travel up to 20% for project planning and delivery.
