Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a self-starter to join the AWS Water team in pioneering the future for data center water supply across the United States. You will manage large-scale water infrastructure projects, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on time and achieve cost savings.

The ideal candidate will have a business-technology background, experience with utilities, and the ability to earn customer trust while navigating regulations and contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of project-related experience with utilities, government agencies, land entitlement or site development due diligence, and permitting entities.
• 5+ years cultivating strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and ability to communicate key messages to leadership.
• Experience building relationships with utilities and regional planning agencies.

Responsibilities

• Support the water supply and infrastructure strategy for AWS data centers in the Americas.
• Collaborate with AWS Infrastructure teams on water sourcing opportunities for large-scale projects.
• Develop and negotiate water and wastewater contracts with utilities.
• Analyze trends and regulations in the water space to identify opportunities for AWS.
• Work with regulators to develop policies that enable AWS growth and water sustainability programs.
• Manage water projects against plans to ensure milestones and cost savings.
• Be a proactive self-starter and handle multiple regional projects.
• Travel up to 30% for planning and delivery.
