Job summary

Bechtel Manufacturing and Technology in Houston, TX is seeking a Lead Process Engineer to lead utility system design for data center projects from concept through EPC execution. You will plan, design, and optimize cooling water, water treatment, fuel systems, and other mechanical utilities in a fast-paced environment.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with clients, vendors and field teams, ensure compliance with codes, and deliver reliable, energy-efficient solutions for mission-critical

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering; 8–10 years in data center EPC utility work.
Strong knowledge of data center standards, ASME/NFPA, and codes.
Experience leading process or utility engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Lead utility system design from concept to EPC execution for data centers.
Evaluate capacity, redundancy, reliability, operability, and energy efficiency.
Coordinate with clients, vendors, field teams, and other disciplines.
Prepare and review P&IDs, calculations, and data sheets.
Present design status and operating philosophy in meetings.
