Job summary

Bechtel’s Manufacturing & Technology (M&T) Business Unit is designing and building an API manufacturing facility in Houston, TX. You will conduct field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates for electrical engineering aspects, while leading design, development, modification, and evaluation of electrical components and processes.

This position is designated as part-time telework with at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the project site

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or international equivalent.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience or 9–12 years of relevant work experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Electrical Engineering (Power) is preferred.
• Experience with medium to large material requisitions (transformers, switchgear, substations, UPS, etc.).
• Knowledge of medium/low voltage systems and power system one lines, schematics, and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, selects, and applies standard electrical engineering methods and procedures with independent judgment.
• Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electrical components and processes.
• Coordinates work with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders.
• Leads electrical engineering efforts with clients, vendors, and construction teams.
• Prepares conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals.
• Provides technical assistance and address regulatory issues and standards.
