Bechtel is seeking an Electrical Engineer to perform power system studies and design for a new API manufacturing facility in Houston, TX. The role focuses on medium/high voltage distribution, on-site generation, and utility interfaces, with a part-time telework arrangement.

You will evaluate electrical systems, develop diagrams and specifications, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifikationen

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Electrical Engineering and 5–12 years of relevant experience.
• Deep knowledge of NEC and ANSI/IEEE standards.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM, MicroStation, Revit and AutoCAD 2D/3D.
• Experience designing medium voltage (34.5kV/13.8kV/4.16kV) and low voltage systems (480/208/120V).
• Proven ability to perform load flow, voltage drop, short circuit, and motor starting studies.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Electrical Engineering (Power) is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Evaluates and applies electrical engineering methods on medium/large projects.
• Performs system studies: load flow, voltage drop, short circuit, motor starting.
• Develops load lists, single-line diagrams, metering and protection diagrams, and schedules.
• Prepares specifications, data sheets, material requisitions, and conducts vendor print reviews.
• Coordinates with disciplines, clients, vendors, and construction teams.
• Mentors junior electrical team members.
