Cisco Systems, Inc. in San Jose, CA is seeking a Test Development Engineer to lead end-to-end test development for data center switching products and to create Python-based test automation.

You will work with HW/SW/Diag engineers, product operations teams, and contract manufacturers to implement robust test strategies. You will design test plans, deploy platforms for Cisco's manufacturing partners, and drive improvements to yield and test processes.

Competenze

• Minimum of 4 years of test engineering experience with a solid understanding of standard Design for Test (DFT) techniques and a basic understanding of Cisco or industry-standard testing methodologies. Additionally, experience in the electronics manufacturing industry or in automated hardware or software testing is required.
• Proficient in Software Programming, specifically Python and Bash
• Strong adherence to coding standards.
• Familiarity with version control and continuous integration software tools such as Github and Jenkins.
• Experience in manufacturing and hardware testing, with the ability to debug, analyze, and identify root causes of manufacturing yield and test issues

• Support EMS partners and product-related testing issues; Collaborate with product team to implement and implement test strategies, test plans, and test processes.
• Generate product-specific test plans and drive test coverage based on product requirements; Design, build, and deploy test platforms for Cisco's global manufacturing partner.
• Analyze, approach, and root cause manufacturing yield issues and field escapes; Drive issues to closure with preventive measures; Drive test-related improvement and optimization.
• Specify, develop, and/or procure test equipment, test fixtures, and test solutions; Define debug processes for test engineers in manufacturing sites.
