Job summary

Cisco Isovalent, now part of Cisco, is seeking a Software Development Test Engineer to define testing strategies and build automated frameworks across Unix, Linux, and Windows platforms.

You will design tests for long-running reliability, performance, and integration, and collaborate with software engineers throughout the product lifecycle to ensure quality and security of workloads, network policy enforcement, and container protection at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years' relevant experience, or a Master's with 3+ years.
• Experience testing complex software products or systems.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience.
• Proven ability to develop or implement automated testing.
• Experience shipping software to production lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop testing strategies, frameworks, automation, and environments.
• Design automated tests for long-running reliability and performance.
• Build and maintain automated testing infrastructure for VMs, containers, and cloud.
• Develop testing approaches for workloads, policies, and runtime security.
• Integrate automated testing into the software development lifecycle.
• Analyze test results and troubleshoot defects with engineering teams.
• Collaborate across product concepts through production deployment.
