Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Software Quality Engineer in the United States to independently own test areas and validate end-to-end customer workflows across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.

You will design risk-based test plans, build automated tests with Python, and work with multiple teams to ensure release quality. The role requires 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering or related fields, Linux/Unix troubleshooting, and strong network knowledge.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of software quality engineering or related experience.
• Experience designing test scenarios and configuring test environments.
• Experience with Python or similar scripting for automation.
• Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using generative AI assistants to accelerate testing.

Responsabilidades

• Own test areas and validate end-to-end workflows across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
• Develop risk-based test plans for Cisco Secure Firewall products.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated tests using Python-based frameworks.
• Reproduce and characterize complex failures with traces and logs.
• Collaborate with software development, platform, and release teams throughout the lifecycle.
