Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Telecom Section Manager to lead telecommunications scope on data center projects across the United States, reporting to the ICT Department Manager. The role involves design leadership, coordinating with SME’s, project leads and designers, and ensuring timely delivery across multiple concurrent projects.

Candidates should have a strong background in structured cabling systems, ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards, and experience with Revit/Navisworks/Revizto.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate’s degree in electrical engineering or related field; high school diploma considered for right person.
• Minimum 4 years leading Telecommunications structured cabling design projects.
• Minimum 2 years of managing a small team.
• Credential as an RCDD and data center construction knowledge.
• Knowledge of ANSI/TIA, BICSI, NFPA 70 standards; experience with Revit/Navisworks/Revizto.

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead leads across multiple projects and clients.
• Forecast projects and staff resources; budget planning.
• Mentor project leads during design process and review DIV 27 specs.
• Conduct site visits and review technical documents for accuracy.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure deadlines are met.
