Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician for a 12-month Work Based Learning Program in Frederick, MD.

The role involves hands-on server rack installations, hardware repair, and 24/7 incident support, with on-call duties and structured training. Successful candidates will complete safety certifications and develop technical competencies while contributing to documentation and process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Are 18 years of age or older.
• Willingness to participate in shift rotations to support 24/7 data center operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix on components, troubleshoot issues, and respond to incidents.
• Troubleshoot network issues and escalate to senior technicians when needed.
• Serve as a point of contact for engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
• Participate in on-call duties and scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
• Complete the 12-month WBLP training curriculum including safety certifications and milestones.
