Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Oregon is seeking Data Center Technicians as part of our Work Based Learning Program (WBLP). This trainee position reports to a site location and runs a 12-month work-and-training program in our Oregon facilities.

You will perform server rack installations, hardware break-fix, and respond to incidents while rotating shifts to support 24/7 data center operations. On-call duties and documentation improvements are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Are 18 years of age or older.
• Willingness to participate in shift rotations to support 24/7 data center operations.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshooting network issues, and responding to operational incidents that impact service availability, escalating to senior technicians and management as needed/required
• Serving as a contact point for both internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors
• Performing on-call duties and participating in scheduled maintenance and change management activities
• Contributing to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on your analysis of operational issues
• Successfully completing the 12-month Work Based Learning Program training curriculum, including all required safety certifications, technical competencies, and performance milestones.
