Job summary

BGIS is seeking a Data Center Technician to join the team in South Jordan, UT. The role focuses on basic hardware troubleshooting and on-site ticket work to resolve server issues, with priority-based workflows in a data-center setting.

The position requires a High School/GED, experience with multi-vendor hardware, and familiarity with remote management interfaces (iLo/BMC/Drac). On-call and non-remote work are possible, with on-site reporting.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Experience with server hardware from multiple vendors.
• Experience using ticketing systems (Remedy, ServiceNow, etc.).
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, technicians and vendors.
• Experience in a large data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical hardware remediation (break/fix).
• Provide hardware upgrade support.
• Confirm hardware issues are fixed after on-site fixes.
• Configure server remote management interfaces (iLo/BMC/Drac).
• Work from a ticket queue, prioritizing issues to resolve server problems.
• May require evenings, weekends, or on-call after hours.
• Not a remote position; reporting to a data center location.
