Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a Data Center Operations professional to support a wide range of data center activities across DCs. The role involves server mounting, rack movements, hardware installation/removal, and ensuring robust network connectivity and uptime.

You will coordinate with Network, VM, Storage,_backup and Unix teams, maintain logs, and assist with UPS/HVAC operations while supporting customer inquiries and vendor escalations.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and maintaining data center infrastructure.
• Familiarity with VMware environments and server administration.
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Share logs with vendor for hardware issue.
• Receive and return hardware parts.
• Mount and move servers in racks.
• Move racks and DC equipment as required.
• Manage network connectivity and hardware installations.
• Coordinate with Logistics and other teams (Network, VM, Storage, Backup & Unix).
• Assist with DC cleanup and labeling of racks/devices.
• Install/configure ATS and PDU.
• Respond to customer queries and escalate when needed.
• Provide HF support at DC, MDF, and IDF to remote teams.
• Escort vendors for activities under HCL Support at DC, MDF, IDF.
• Manage Data Center, MDF/IDF UPS and HVAC coordination.
• Schedule ER2 pickups; manage DC access logs.
• Maintain spare hardware inventory.
