Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a Data Center Operations specialist to support server, storage and network infrastructure across DCs. You will manage server installations, VMware environments, UPS/HVAC coordination, and cross-team collaboration to resolve issues and escalate as needed.

Responsibilities include racking/unracking equipment, coordinating with logistics, performing DC walkthroughs, and ensuring data center security and uptime for multiple sites.

  • Labeling on Racks and Devices
  • ATS and PDU Installation / Configuration
  • Respond to customer queries and handle escalation
  • Provide H&F Support at Data Center to remote team
  • Provide H&F Support at MDF to remote team
  • Provide H&F Support at IDF to remote team
  • Provide escort to vendor for activities under HCL Support at DC, MDF, IDF
  • Data Center Management

  • DC/MDF/IDF UPS Management and Support
  • ER2 Pickup scheduling and coordination
  • Device rack/stack/un-rack

  • DC/MDF/IDF Power Management and Coordination
  • Site visit to address/validate ISP; Fiber Cut and Power issues
  • H/w replacements
  • Involvement during Monthly/Weekly Generator Testing
  • Provide H&F Support for all required INC, SCTASK and CHG
  • H&F support, manage, handle and troubleshoot major data centers equipment’s including short and long distance hospitals and clinics.
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining latest Windows and Unix servers
  • Managing and Troubleshooting VMware 5.0, 6.5, 6.7, 7.0
  • Working with OEM hardware (DELL/Client/IBM), & remote connectivity tools
  • Installation (vSphere 7.x), configuration (vCenter, ESX 7.x, SRM) and managing VMWare environment
  • VMware ESXi Builds, Troubleshooting, Patching, Support Uplifts and Migration
  • Configure and deploying new Dell, Client, and Cisco UCS Blades-Blade / Rack Server Firmware, patching and driver update etc
  • Troubleshoot Storage Components like Internal storage, Attached storages, SAN Switches, HBA, LUN & Mapping, RAID groups, Volume Groups etc
  • Troubleshooting technical issues related and handling escalations
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues on Storage Environment and coordinate with multiple teams
  • Provide H&F Support for backup devices, rack-stack and troubleshooting H/w issues
  • H&F support, manage, handle and troubleshoot major data centers equipment’s including short and long distance hospitals and clinics.
  • Install, configure and support network equipment including large routers, large switches, medium switches and small switches to maximize network efficiency and security and, update to the latest firmware releases.
  • Planning, communicating and executing any changes in the network environment by following the CommonSpirit change management process
  • Managing and supporting UPS, PDUs which is Connected with Network Gears and Replacing Faulty Batteries
  • Working on pre-approved projects (PPH)
