Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to install, operate, and maintain infrastructure in Texas data centers. You will perform rack-and-stack, cabling, provisioning, testing, and ongoing operational support following Ericsson and customer standards.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years in data center operations or IT infrastructure, and can read engineering drawings and MOPs while working independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical certification required.
• 1+ years of data center ops or IT infra experience.
• Knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking gear.
• Understanding copper/fiber cabling and installation standards.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and MOPs.
• Experience with rack-and-stack, cabling, testing with minimal supervision.
• Detail-oriented with safety focus.
• Collaborate with teams and customers while working independently.

Responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, storage, and related infrastructure.
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling.
• Install PDUs, connect equipment to power sources, verify connectivity.
• Provision equipment, install hardware components, and OOB management connections.
• Perform testing and validation, including continuity testing and fiber verification.
• Execute MACD activities and FRU replacements per procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, and as-built documentation.
• Identify and escalate design concerns, operational issues, and safety risks.
