Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs within a data center environment in a day shift role. The position involves monitoring mechanical systems, responding to alarms, and coordinating with vendors to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Candidates should have technical training or an apprenticeship with 1–2 years of related experience, ability to interpret readings, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Training in a technical discipline with an apprenticeship or equivalent and 1-2 years of experience.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and meet job requirements.
• Proficient in basic math and able to interpret simple figures.
• Strong communication and organizational skills for internal and client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on data center systems and equipment.
• Monitor and respond to Building Management System alarms and HVAC issues.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors while following procedures and regulations.
• Complete planned maintenance and reactive maintenance on equipment.
• Record readings from UPS, PDU, utilities, and maintain maintenance logs.
• Participate in safety trainings and ensure regulatory compliance.
