Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician for a rotating night shift to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs in a Data Center environment. You will inspect Mechanical & Engineering systems and address alarms to maintain safe, compliant operations.

The role involves working with third-party vendors, logging maintenance records, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Applicants should have technical training and 1–2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or technical training with 1–2 years of related experience.
• Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to meet the requirements of the role.
• Proven ability to present information clearly to internal teams and clients.
• Basic proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
• Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
• React to Building Management System alarms, and complete emergency repairs as needed.
• Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company processes and laws.
• Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn’t meet requirements.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
• Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related client problems.
• Take meter readings from UPS, PDU’s and utilities during walkthroughs.
• Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects.
• Follow established procedures and safety requirements; maintain comprehensive maintenance records.
