Job summary

Core Scientific is seeking a Data Center Technician to monitor and manage power, cooling, and environmental conditions in our on-site data centers. You will respond to incidents, manage workload for planned and unplanned maintenance, and ensure safety compliance across federal and local policies.

You will leverage CMMS and BMS data to monitor infrastructure health, coordinate preventive maintenance, and develop operating procedures.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma/GED is required. A related degree or technical certification is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a data center environment is required.
• Technical knowledge of electrical distribution, emergency/standby power, HVAC, fire protection, UPS systems, and BMS/CMMS is required.
• Proficiency in algebraic math computations is required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the daily operation of the data center from a service delivery perspective.
• Monitor infrastructure health using CMMS and BMS data, and evaluate maintenance effectiveness.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment and communicate with stakeholders.
• Develop operating procedures and perform QA reviews for continuous improvement.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents to achieve complete recovery.
• Gather readings, troubleshoot issues, and document resolutions.
• Maintain facility data, PM work orders, and change/incidents records.
• Produce value-add metrics and maintain documentation with procedures and data.
• Ensure adherence to change control and safety policies.
• Collaborate with outside contractors and participate in training and compliance programs.
