Job summary

Core Scientific seeks a Data Center Technician to monitor and manage power, cooling, and environmental conditions in our on-site data centers across North America. You will respond to incidents, manage workflows for planned and unplanned work, and ensure safety policies are followed.

Responsibilities include using CMMS and BMS data to assess infrastructure health, coordinating preventive maintenance, communicating with stakeholders, and maintaining accurate facility records.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Degree in a related field or technical certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of data center experience.
  • Technical knowledge of electrical distribution, power systems, HVAC, fire protection, UPS, and monitoring systems (BMS/CMMS).
  • Proficiency in algebraic calculations and report writing.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage data center power, cooling capacity, and environmental conditions.
  • Act as a first responder to incidents within the data center envelope.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance of data center equipment and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain operating procedures and PM inspections for accuracy and clarity.
  • Maintain facility data, PM work orders, and change incidents for value-add metrics.
  • Foster safe, compliant operations and effective communication with leadership.
