Job summary

Core Scientific is seeking a Data Center Technician for an onsite role in Austin, TX to monitor power, cooling, and environmental conditions across our data centers. You will respond to incidents and manage workflow to ensure timely completion while adhering to safety policies.

Responsibilities include leveraging CMMS and BMS data to assess infrastructure health, coordinating preventive maintenance, and documenting procedures and metrics for internal and customer transparency.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical certification or related degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years in a data center environment required.
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution, HVAC, UPS, and monitoring systems required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily data center operations from a service delivery perspective.
  • Monitor CMMS and BMS data to assess infrastructure health.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Develop and update operating procedures and PM inspections.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents to achieve full recovery.
  • Document issues and communicate with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure safety and change-control compliance.
