Job summary

Core Scientific in Muskogee, OK is seeking a Data Center Technician to monitor power, cooling, and environmental conditions in our data center. You will act as a first responder to incidents and manage maintenance workflows to ensure safety and compliance.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least 3 years in a data center, and strong knowledge of electrical distribution, HVAC, BMS/CMMS, and networking basics.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma/GED is required.
• A degree in a related field or a technical certification is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a data center environment is required.
• Technical knowledge of electrical distribution, emergency/standby power, HVAC, fire protection, UPS systems, floor PDUs, rack PDUs, CRAH units, and monitoring and control systems (BMS/CMMS) is required.
• Proficiency in algebraic math computations is required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Understanding networking hardware and software, including routers, switches, and protocols, is preferred.
• Ability to write reports and understand schematic and architectural drawings is required.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other standard software programs is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the daily operation of the data center from a service delivery perspective.
• Utilize CMMS and BMS data to monitor infrastructure health and maintenance effectiveness.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment and communicate with stakeholders.
• Assist with developing, revising, and executing operating procedures and inspections.
• Resolve electrical and mechanical issues promptly and communicate findings to leadership.
• Respond to emergencies and critical issues to achieve recovery.
• Gather data, troubleshoot, document issues, and ensure resolution.
• Maintain facility data including PM work orders, incidents, and problem management.
• Develop and maintain documentation to create value-add metrics for Core Scientific and customers.
