Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; associate degree preferred in IT, networking, electronics, or related field.
• Entry-level to experienced candidates with familiarity in server installation, networking, and data center operations.
• Knowledge of operating systems, networking protocols, hardware deployment, and system administration.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a controlled, secure, and highly operational environment.
• Ability to follow technical procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
• Ability to support scheduled or on-call shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.

Responsibilities

• Rack and install servers, switches, storage systems, and other data center hardware according to engineering specifications
• Support network operations, including user accounts, permissions, email, anti-virus, and anti-spam systems
• Maintain and update network topology diagrams and related infrastructure documentation
• Execute server backups, support data recovery operations, and verify backup integrity
• Support disaster recovery operations related to power outages, fires, and other incidents
• Implement and maintain physical and cybersecurity measures, including access controls and surveillance systems
• Maintain accurate system logs, equipment inventories, and procedural documentation
• Monitor and communicate system status, operational issues, and infrastructure concerns to IT staff and management
• Follow established data center operational, security, and safety procedures
• Support 24/7 data center operations, including on-call, night, and weekend shifts as required
