Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Technician in Hayward, CA, to support 24/7 data center operations. You will diagnose and repair hardware and network issues, install equipment, and document solutions as part of a diverse, fast-paced Infra Ops team.

You should be capable of working independently or with a team, and willing to participate in on-call shifts with after-hours support as needed. Some regional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Knowledge of network design, protocols and Layer 1/2 troubleshooting.
• Associate's degree in information technology or computer science.
• Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
• 1+ years of computer networking experience, or experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.

• Install equipment, create documentation, and fix problems within the Data Center Space.
• Perform hardware and network diagnostics and repair.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
