Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Mississippi Canton seeks a Technical Trainer to design, deliver and manage training programs for data center operations, preparing new hires to operate critical infrastructure safely and effectively.

You will collaborate with SMEs, instructional designers, and operations leaders to improve talent development across regions. The role emphasizes hands-on learning in labs, SOP development, program management, and staying up-to-date with data center technologies.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office suite experience.
• Experience as a trainer and ability to manage a classroom.
• Strong knowledge of critical infrastructure systems (UPS, HVAC, generators).

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver instructor-led training sessions covering data center operations and infrastructure.
• Manage logistics of new hire training programs including scheduling and lab space utilization.
• Maintain and certify instructor qualifications and perform certification observations.
• Monitor trainee progress and address behavioral or policy issues.
• Process training completions and maintain accurate training records.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert for lab equipment and training facilities.
• Develop and implement SOPs for lab equipment operation.
• Create practical training scenarios that simulate real-world data center situations.
• Support setup and commissioning of new training labs across regions.
