Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
• One year supervisory experience.
• Mandatory forklift certification; MHE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct staff meetings to review daily/weekly work activities and plan improvements.
• Keep senior management and client representatives informed of critical issues.
• Develop and maintain systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products.
• Manage operations to meet productivity and service goals.
• Implement and report on cost-saving measures.
• Meet client-specified KPIs and comply with quality system requirements.
• Lead performance evaluation and HR support activities such as promotions and wage increases.
• Oversee training and evaluation of warehouse staff.
• Plan the daily work schedule, assess priorities, and assign duties.
• Review pending jobs and plan for warehouse space reorganization.
• Train new staff or delegate training responsibilities.
• Provide guidance and advice throughout the day, keep team members informed of new developments.
• Assist in physical operations as needed.
• Maintain high motivation levels and provide growth opportunities for team members.
• Adhere to SOPs and conduct annual performance reviews.

Job Overview

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising, labor management, and planning of inbound, outbound, product slotting and customer communication activities daily, including labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment and manpower. People management responsibilities include hiring and training, planning and assigning daily work, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues and resolving problems. Under the direction of the Operations Manager or Distribution Center Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for supervising the receiving, warehousing and shipping of products in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.

Physical Demands

Compensation

Base pay range $95,000.00 annually.
