Job summary
Vertiv Group Corporation is seeking a Structural Engineer to lead conceptual and detailed design of data center structures. You will perform design and analysis with RISA 3D, ensuring compliance with lifting, transport, and installation load cases, and coordinate with architects for thermal and code considerations.
You will develop SD, DD, and CD narratives, review submittals, and guide fabrication teams. A background in data center or industrial projects and strong design integrity are
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Structural (Civil) Engineering required.
- EIT certification or progress toward PE licensure expected.
- Minimum 2 years of structural engineering experience.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local building codes and standards.
- Experience with structural steel design and connections.
- Familiarity with lifting/transport design and temporary loads.
- Proficiency with RISA 3D, AutoCAD, Revit; strong MS Office skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide conceptual and detailed design of data center structures.
- Perform structural design and analysis per standards.
- Design structural steel connections and lifting/anchoring points.
- Coordinate with architects and agencies for code compliance.
- Develop SD, DD, and CD narratives for structural design.
- Review and approve structural submittals.
- Coordinate with vendors and fabrication teams.
