Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an Architectural Engineer to translate complex requirements into smart, future-ready designs for mission-critical facilities. You will shape the physical foundation of data centers, integrating architecture, engineering, and sustainability from concept through construction.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Architecture or Architectural Engineering, 7+ years' experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in architectural design and engineering.
• Professional registration (PE, RA, or both) preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
• Strong understanding of building systems and construction methods.
• Knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
• Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong project management abilities.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural and engineering designs for commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
• Create detailed construction drawings and specifications using advanced CAD/BIM software.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Perform building system analyses and calculations.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and safety standards.
• Develop sustainable design solutions incorporating energy efficiency and environmental considerations.
• Review contractor submittals and RFIs (Requests for Information).
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure design compliance.
• Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Prepare and present design proposals and technical documentation.
