Job summary

Vertiv is hiring a Structural Engineer to lead conceptual and detailed design of data center structures. You will perform structural design and analysis using RISA 3D, ensuring compliance with lifting, transport and installation load cases.

You will design steel connections, coordinate with architectural engineers on thermal transfer calculations, and oversee QC of drawings and calculations. Role requires at least a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Structural Engineering, with EIT or PE progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Structural (Civil) Engineering.
• EIT certification or progress toward PE licensure.
• Experience with data center or industrial structural projects.
• Proficiency with structural analysis tools (RISA 3D preferred).
• Working knowledge in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Structural Engineer to provide conceptual and detailed design of data center structures.
• Perform structural design and analysis using RISA 3D with lifting, transport and installation load cases.
• Design structural steel connections (bolted and welded) and lifting/anchoring points.
• Coordinate with architectural engineer on thermal transfer calculations and fire ratings.
• Ensure model, drawings and calculations accuracy through QC and design reviews.
• Detailed design of foundation requirements and on-site support for module repairs.
