Job summary

Prismhr Hire is seeking a Server Hardware & Systems Integration Technician to install, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain server-class hardware and proprietary bench systems. You will work across data-center-like configurations, ensuring proper rack installation, power, and cabling, while collaborating with engineering, IT, and operations teams.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with server components, hardware upgrades, and diagnostics, and can work independently on

Qualifications

• Two years of hands-on experience supporting server-class hardware or data-center equipment.
• Experience installing servers or equipment in racks, including power and network connectivity.
• Experience building, upgrading, or repairing server hardware.
• Able to read technical work instructions, schematics, and engineering documents.
• Excellent documentation, organization, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, configure, and commission server-class hardware and proprietary bench systems.
• Install equipment in racks with rails, mounting hardware, power connections, and cable management.
• Install, replace, and upgrade hardware components (processors, memory, storage, NICs, power supplies).
• Perform hardware and software upgrades per requirements and change instructions.
• Connect and validate network, power, sensor, compute, and peripheral components.
• Verify systems meet configuration and commissioning requirements before service.
• Support deployment and maintenance across sites and environments.
• Diagnose complex hardware, electronic, and system-configuration issues.
• Isolate failures, replace components, and escalate as needed.
• Document system configurations and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, operations, vendors, and partners.
