Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support our Iowa Business Unit on a data center project in Des Moines, IA. You will lead complex construction activities, manage project budgets and schedules, and collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with high quality.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of construction experience as a PM in GC environments, strong leadership, risk management, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction experience.
• Experience as a Project Manager in commercial/general contracting.
• Experience mentoring a team.
• Degree in a related field required (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead complex construction projects from start to finish, on time and within budget.
• Provide leadership to project teams and ensure alignment with goals and policy.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation, monitor risk factors.
• Lead client and stakeholder communication and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and other stakeholders.
• Develop detailed plans, budgets, and schedules; manage resources.
• Prepare and manage monthly reports, owner billings, and forecasts.
• Ensure safety plans and quality control programs are followed.
• Drive value engineering and scope reduction opportunities.
