Iron Systems, Inc. is seeking a Site EH&S Specialist – Data Center Low-Voltage to serve as the on-site safety representative for low-voltage cabling and data center crews in client-controlled environments.

This role is responsible for maintaining safe work conditions, supporting client EHS requirements, verifying pre-task planning, controlling high-risk work, conducting field inspections, supporting incident response, and ensuring EH&E records are complete and audit ready.

Competenze

• 3+ years of EH&S experience in data centers or similar environments.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Experience supporting or operating a permit-to-work process for high-risk activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to write factual incident reports and inspection notes.

Mansioni

• Be the on-site EH&S representative for low-voltage/cabling crews at the data center site.
• Lead daily pre-task briefings, job hazard analyses, and safety planning.
• Identify and control hazards related to energized environments, overhead work, elevated work, dropped objects, floor openings, confined spaces, heat, noise, manual handling, and cable-pull activities.
• Own the permit-to-work interface with company permits and client requirements.
• Verify competency, precautions, equipment condition, and controls before high-risk work begins.
• Maintain regular field presence, conduct inspections, coaching, and hazard reporting.
• Stop work immediately when there is imminent or serious risk.
• Remove workers if training, credential, impairment, or non-compliance issues arise.
• Verify training and site orientation/badge readiness before entry.
• Deliver toolbox talks, tailgate meetings, and retraining triggers.
• Act as first responder and scene controller for incidents and near misses.
• Initiate incident notification and escalation steps promptly.
• Support root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Align site emergency plans with client facilities and drills.
• Maintain EH&S documentation and audit records.
• Participate in client safety meetings and site audits.
• Promote a reporting culture for near misses and safety concerns.
