Job summary

Equiliem in Secaucus, NJ is seeking a Data Center Critical Operations Engineer II for a Tue-Sat 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m. shift. The role operates, maintains, and troubleshoots critical facility systems to support reliable data center operations.

You will work with electrical, mechanical, cooling and life-safety systems, respond to issues, and provide guidance to teammates. Compensation includes an hourly rate of $43.00–$47.00, relocation assistance and a sign-on bonus may be available for qualifying

Qualifications

• Experience operating or maintaining critical electrical and mechanical systems in a data center or similar critical facility.
• Ability to troubleshoot cooling and fire and life safety systems.
• Understanding of system interdependencies and the operational risks of facility changes.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers, vendors, and technical teams.
• Ability to work Tuesday through Saturday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot critical data center systems.
• Assess how changes to one facility system may affect other systems and data center uptime.
• Respond to equipment issues and coordinate resolution with technicians, vendors, and customers.
• Support customer infrastructure projects while following established operating and safety procedures.
• Document operational activities and identify opportunities to improve reliability and performance.
• Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to team members.
