EPI Power in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Project Safety Engineer to foster a proactive safety culture on our data center construction projects. This role requires working 58 hours per week, Monday through Saturday, and focuses on eliminating risk, maintaining compliance, and supporting our zero-injury goals.

You will lead safety audits, train teams, investigate incidents, maintain documentation, and collaborate with project teams to implement safety programs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of safety experience, ideally in construction.
• Data center construction experience is a plus.
• Active OSHA 10 or 30 is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Conduct safety audits and inspections on the assigned project site and identify hazards and improvement opportunities.
• Educate the project team on safety through training and mentoring, and assist with safety orientation.
• Identify safety improvement initiatives and perform safety training.
• Investigate incidents and near misses; assist with claims management; propose corrective/preventive measures.
• Participate in creating the project safety plan and maintain safety documentation.
• Assist in analysis of project safety performance (inspections, injury rates, violations); recommend improvements.
• Serve as a safety resource in committees and staff meetings; ensure PPE is maintained and inspected.
