Job summary

Diversified Safety Services is seeking an experienced Lead Safety Manager to join our team and support a data center project in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role focuses on driving a culture of safety, ensuring compliance, and fostering a proactive approach to workplace health and safety on a large, high-visibility site.

Responsibilities include leading safety programs and JHAs, monitoring compliance, investigating incidents, supervising subcontractors, and delivering toolbox talks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30 Construction required.
• First Aid/ CPR/ AED required.
• BCSP Certification strongly preferred (CHST, STS-C).
• Data center experience required.
• Previous experience working for a GC is required.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety culture and enforce policies on the jobsite.
• Lead safety programs, plans, and JHAs.
• Monitor safety compliance and document findings.
• Identify hazards and implement preventive measures.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Maintain on-site presence and provide proactive safety guidance.
• Ensure compliance with manuals and contract requirements.
• Oversee subcontractors to meet EHS standards.
• Investigate accidents and near misses; drive corrective actions.
• Enforce PPE usage and safety procedures.
