Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Data Center Project Manager to lead the delivery of mission-critical data center projects nationwide, coordinating scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk across multiple disciplines.

The ideal candidate will have design-build and/or EPC experience, provide leadership to internal and external teams, and mentor staff while ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes aligned with client standards and objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• 7+ years of related experience managing design and/or construction projects, including experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• PMP (PMI) certification required within 12 months of hire or promotion.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; travel frequency depends on duties and workload.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of data center projects and/or programs, serving as the primary day-to-day contact for major clients in the U.S.
• Lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute project scope, schedule, and budget with work planning, staffing, cost control, and change management.
• Manage projects from concept through design, procurement, construction administration, commissioning, and closeout for mission-critical facilities.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines, constructors, vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Oversee project financial performance, including forecasting, invoicing, earned value where applicable, and risk/opportunity identification and escalation.
• Mentor and lead multi-disciplinary project teams to promote collaboration, accountability, and consistent execution.
