Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Data Center Project Manager to lead complex, mission-critical data center projects for clients nationwide. You will oversee scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk while coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in design/construction project leadership, PMP certification within 12 months, and willingness to travel as duties require. Hybrid work options may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• 7+ years of related experience managing design and/or construction projects.
• PMP (PMI) certification required within 12 months of hire or promotion.
• Travel may be required; frequency contingent on duties and workload.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of data center projects and programs for major clients in the U.S.
• Develop and manage project scope, schedule, and budget; plan resources and costs.
• Oversee project phases from conception through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Coordinate across engineering disciplines, constructors, vendors, and client stakeholders.
• Monitor financial performance: forecasting, invoicing, earned value, risks and opportunities.
• Mentor multi-disciplinary teams; promote collaboration and accountability.
• Coordinate with technical specialists to resolve integration issues (BMS/EPMS).
• Ensure quality, safety, and contract requirements; provide guidance at project level.
