Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Data Center Senior Project Manager for an onsite role at a client data center in Columbus, OH. You will lead end-to-end delivery of complex data center construction projects, coordinating with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to meet scope, schedule, and budget.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of PM experience, deep data center infrastructure knowledge, and strong leadership and communication skills to drive risk management,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or applicable bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant project management experience.
• Strong organizational and management skills – the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the broader team.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, and construction project management tools.
• Extensive experience managing mission-critical and data center construction projects.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure including electrical distribution, UPS, generators, cooling, BMS/EPMS, cabling, and critical environments.
• Experience delivering projects through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, testing, and turnover.
• Demonstrated success managing large-scale capital projects with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex data center construction projects from design through commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate stakeholders including clients, architects, engineers, commissioning agents, contractors, vendors, and supply chain partners.
• Analyze critical path activities and develop mitigation plans to prevent delays.
• Establish governance frameworks, controls, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide executive-level status reports and risk updates to clients and leadership.
• Oversee multiple data center projects, ensuring compliance with standards and client specifications.
• Lead and manage design consultants and engineering teams across project delivery.
• Support project controls activities including budget forecasting, change management, and risk management.
