Job summary

Black Box is seeking a Data Center Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle of large-scale data center construction in Plano, TX, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with PMO adherence and rigorous safety practices.

You will oversee schedules, budgets, and vendor performance, coordinating with clients and stakeholders to drive best-in-class deployment of connectivity and cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of construction industry experience in a management or leadership role.
• Prior experience managing large data center or structured cabling construction projects is highly preferred.
• Experience across multiple contract and delivery models (GMP, design-build, fixed price, etc.).
• Certifications: OSHA 30, BICSI RCDD, BICSI RTPM, PMIPMP.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Bluebeam, Procore, Textura and other construction platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day construction management using PMO standards and methodologies.
• Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules.
• Oversee all phases of project execution, ensuring alignment with scope, timeline, and budget.
• Identify and manage change events, applying best practice change management processes.
• Enforce safety protocols, procedures, and site standards across all project activities.
• Ensure quality control through consistent documentation, tracking, and reporting.
• Maintain adherence to construction codes and industry standards.
• Manage contracting and delivery methods including GMP, design-build, and time & materials.
• Monitor vendor performance, approve invoices, and track project expenditures.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and senior leadership.
