Job summary

The Weitz Company, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer for Data Center Construction in Houston, Texas. You will organize, review, and maintain construction documents, collaborate on RFIs, and monitor submittals against plans and specifications.

You’ll assist with inspections, schedules, closeout, and prepare as-built drawings and warranty items. Strong communication, initiative, and organization are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience or internship in project engineering within construction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized with the ability to manage multiple needs.

Responsibilities

• Organize, review, update, maintain, and post construction documents/drawings.
• Collaborate with project team to complete RFIs.
• Review submittals for accuracy against plans and specs.
• Assist in inspections, audits, and non-conformance log.
• Monitor material and equipment delivery status.
• Maintain accurate project logs.
• Understand subcontractor scope and purchase orders.
• Track change requests and draft change orders within authority.
• Assist with project schedule management and closeout activities.
• Prepare as-built drawings and assist with warranty process.
