The role is part of a Southeast Regional Market leader of Critical Power Solutions and Services, offering career growth, exciting projects with leading‑edge technology, and competitive salaries and benefits. The company delivers custom‑fit power solutions for mission‑critical facilities, including busways, UPS, conduits, panel boards, RPPs, PDUs, and more, ensuring uptime for the world’s largest organizations.

The Project Coordinator will confirm schematics, equipment lists, and orders, track equipment from OEM to site delivery, and coordinate with construction trades, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery and integration. Responsibilities include managing change orders, assisting the construction project manager in budget development, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while meeting company policies and procedures. The role requires technical knowledge of data center and construction, strong communication skills, and hands‑on experience with BIM, Revit, AutoCAD, and Autodesk tools.

Responsibilities
  • Lead coordination efforts using BIM, Revit, and virtual construction tools.
  • Maintain liaison with the primary client, A/E firm, owner’s rep, construction project manager, subcontractors, and other vendors to facilitate construction activities at the data center job site.
  • Conduct BIM clash detection and resolution to optimize MEP layouts.
  • Provide leadership and conduct coordination meetings with all stakeholders regarding field‑related MEP mission‑critical work activities.
  • Coordinate with the construction project manager and subcontractors for proper execution, and provide documentation for all MEP scopes.
  • Keep all relative parties informed of the project’s progress throughout its life.
  • Possess a detailed understanding of all MEP systems, including sizing, cost, scheduling, quality control, system start‑up, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts—progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses—to protect the company’s interests while maintaining client relationships.
  • Ensure that project sites and company assets remain secure and maintain a safe, respectful working environment by implementing safety, OSHA, EEO, risk management, training, and quality control programs.
  • Confirm that change orders from subcontractors/suppliers are reasonable and that work is executed correctly; coordinate with the project manager for approval on extra charges.
  • Facilitate weekly project progress and safety meetings with subcontractor representatives and coordinate upcoming work.
  • Ensure the project closeout process is finalized, demobilize resources, and transition the project to the client.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams on MEP and BIM‑related issues, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Oversee and coordinate the start‑up and commissioning process, including planning and execution.
Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent trade experience.
  • 3 to 5+ years of commercial/critical facilities MEP construction experience—project size, scope, and complexity will factor into the required level.
  • Proficiency in Revit and BIM 360 is required.
  • Experience with Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) is a significant plus.
  • Detailed understanding of electrical systems, testing, MEP installation sequencing, commissioning, MOPs/SOPs, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with a personal computer and Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project, and Timberline.
  • Previous administrative experience managing change orders, billing, and creating reports.
