Project Coordinator Data Centers – Southeast / Remote

This job opportunity is with a Southeast Regional Market leader of Critical Power Solutions and Services. The company offers data center power solutions custom‑fit to mission‑critical facilities, supplying equipment such as Busways, UPS, Conduits, Panel Meters/Panel Boards, RPPs, PDUs, etc. They help clients procure equipment when supply chain options are limited, ensuring uptime for major organizations and government facilities.

We are looking for a Project Coordinator responsible for confirming schematics, equipment lists, and orders, and tracking equipment from OEM to site delivery. Responsibilities include coordinating with construction trades, subs, vendors, maintaining a project budget, managing change orders, and ensuring the project is built on time, within budget, and according to policy. The role requires technical knowledge of data centers and construction, strong communication, and hands‑on experience with BIM, Revit, AutoCAD, and Autodesk tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination efforts using BIM, Revit, and Virtual Construction tools
• Maintain liaison with primary client, A/E firm, Owner’s Rep, Construction Project Manager, and subcontractors
• Conduct BIM clash detection and resolution to optimize MEP layouts
• Provide leadership and conduct coordination meetings for MEP mission‑critical work
• Coordinate execution and provide documentation for all MEP scopes
• Keep parties informed of project progress throughout the life cycle
• Provide detailed understanding of all MEP systems including sizing, costs, scheduling, quality control, commissioning, troubleshooting
• Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses)
• Ensure site security and maintain safety, OSHA, EEO, risk management, training, and quality controls
• Confirm reasonable change orders and coordinate approvals for extra charges
• Facilitate weekly project progress and safety meetings, and coordinate upcoming work
• Ensure project closeout, demobilization, and transition to client
• Provide technical support and guidance on MEP and BIM issues, ensuring compliance with codes and specifications
• Oversee and coordinate start‑up and commissioning processes

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (plus) or equivalent trade experience
• 3‑5+ years of commercial/critical facilities MEP construction experience
• Revit / BIM 360 a Must
• Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) experience a HUGE plus
• Detailed understanding of Electrical systems, testing, MEP installation, commissioning, MOPs/SOPs, turnover, troubleshooting
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, stakeholders
• Strong presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills
• Proficiency using a PC and company tools (Word, Excel, Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project, Timberline, etc.)
• Previous administrative experience managing change orders, billing, reports
