Job summary

Cumming Group in Kansas City, MO seeks a Project Controls Manager - Data Center Construction to oversee capital planning, scheduling, cost control and governance for complex data center projects.

Ideal candidate has a BS in a related field and 4+ years in project controls, strong Excel, and the ability to read Arch, Civil, MEP drawings and communicate with diverse stakeholders. This is a full-time role in a dynamic firm with broad project exposure.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field.
• 4+ years' experience post undergraduate degree working in related field.
• Strong Excel and cost/schedule control knowledge.
• Ability to read Arch, Civil, MEP drawings and Schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform project controls services including capital planning, portfolio and project governance, front end planning, project funding, project set up, construction technology, procure to pay, project, cost & commercial managing, schedule control, risk management, project close-out.
• Support development of client's capital plan and updates by providing cashflow and accrual information.
• Facilitate funding by consolidating information from various sources into a holistic funding request document.
• Work closely with clients to set up project systems and coding and communicate requirements to inputs providers.
• Enable governance by providing relevant reports and analysis for decision making.
• Assist in construction technology flow to ensure efficient execution and control.
• Participate in development of project sourcing strategies and procure-to-pay setup.
• Forecast and influence project outcomes; review schedule progression; identify and mitigate risks.
• Ensure completion of financial activities at project close-out.
