Job summary

Suffolk is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead opportunities from RFP through buyout and into operations. You will coordinate with Corporate leadership and Estimating to develop comprehensive proposals and align internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires strong communication, project pursuit experience, and the ability to foresee constructability and risk factors while driving timely, high-quality submissions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of construction experience.
• Estimating and scheduling experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate across internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project pursuit and pre-construction deliverables with leadership and Estimating.
• Review project documentation for quality, content, and constructability.
• Identify required deliverables and assign to stakeholders.
• Manage timelines to ensure on-time, quality proposals.
• Coordinate with marketing to develop proposal documents.
• Maintain client relationships during pursuit and pre-construction.
• Review cost models during pre-construction and bidding.
• Consult with Operations, scheduling, legal, and procurement.
• Monitor design progress for compliance with cost and schedule.
