Job summary

Suffolk Construction is seeking a Project Manager to lead and coordinate resources across the full project lifecycle in the United States. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or applicable discipline.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Excellent business judgment with profitability objectives and strong client/subcontractor relationships.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in contract and legal provisions.
• Ability to analyze financial trade-offs with incomplete data and ambiguity.
• Ability to multi-task and balance Suffolk’s business needs with customer relations.
• Judgment to escalate issues appropriately and a strong sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and communicate with Suffolk field supervision, subcontractors and vendors to align with the project schedule.
• Represent Suffolk with owners, architects, consultants, government authorities, vendors and subcontractors.
• Administer financial aspects of owner’s contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Build effective relationships with clients and the Suffolk project team.
• Review contract documents, confirm budget setup and project milestones; plan mobilization and schedules.
• Maintain buy schedules, subcontracts, purchase orders, and ensure insurance compliance.
• Review subcontractor references, obtain bonds, and maintain project files.
• Maintain and manage all purchase/delivery schedules and change orders; log communications.
• Attend schedule and management meetings; chair as appropriate.
• Manage requisitions/payments, lien releases, and project payroll; maintain cash flow.
• Deliver manuals, consolidate documentation, manage closeout, and transfer utilities.
• Deliver warranties, as-builts and training to the owner.
